Who We Are

Meet Our Hosts

Joy Rios

I'm a Health IT strategist and expert in value-based care, renowned for championing women in health IT and diversity, equity, and inclusion. I lead the HIT Like a Girl podcast and community, as well as Like a Girl Media agency, blending my passion for healthcare, technology, and amplifying women leaders through the art of podcasting. My work focuses on improving digital health literacy through engaging in meaningful conversations with thought leaders to drive change.

Guest Hosts

Each year, we carefully select aspiring thought leaders who are eager to explore different realms of health IT, advocacy, policy. Our platform becomes their stage, allowing them to take over and bring fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and engaging discussions to our dedicated audience.

Most recently, Dana Trampas and Grace Vinton (pictured right) graced us as guest hosts.

Dana Trampas and Grace Vinton

Our Guest Hosting initiative has already kickstarted the journeys of several remarkable individuals:

  • Grace Vinton brewed engaging conversations in "HITea with Grace," where she has shined a light on patient and caregiver stories, as well as a special series to #FundLikeaGirl.
  • Dana Trampas led the 2023 Global Health Equity Week series, highlighting critical issues and fostering a dialogue on creating more equitable healthcare systems globally.
  • Kat McDavitt ignited the "Lady Boss Series," diving deep into the challenges and triumphs of women leaders in healthcare. She has since started a weekly Health Tech Talk Show.

Following their experiences on our platform, Kat and Grace have successfully launched their own podcast shows, and Dana continues to make significant strides with her digital storytelling.
