Wrapping Up an Unforgettable Journey: The Final Leg of the RoadtoHLTH

As our #RoadtoHLTH journey comes to a close, I wanted to share a few unforgettable experiences and insights from our final stops in Denver and Chicago. This journey has been one for the books. Thank you for being part of it and I can't wait to show you what's next!

Denver Startup Week and Beyond: The Mile-High Experience

It’s hard to believe we only spent 48 hours in Colorado considering how much we packed in.
From the bustling scenes of Denver Startup Week to the tranquil landscapes of Boulder,
Colorado was a backdrop of innovation, connection, and natural beaut

An Annual Gathering Elevating Innovators Denver Startup Week serves as a catalyst for innovation, bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders in a week-long event designed to foster knowledge sharing and community building

While following the Women Entrepreneur track, I was inspired by the various entrepreneurial paths taken many possibilities for funding and scaling businesses. Featured programs included AWS Activate, Ladies Who Launch, Build Back Better, Dell Women’s Entrepreneur Network, and TechStars.

However, the advice that stood out the most for aspiring women entrepreneurs was this, from author and tech influencer Kathryn Finney: Don’t wait for the system to let you in—break down the door and "Build The Damn Thing."

Prime Health Happy Hour:

Networking at the elegant Catalyst building was as much about pleasure as it was business—the atmosphere was alive with great people, delicious food, and positive vibes.

We spent time with Prime Health’s newly-appointed CEO, Corrine Hill talking about the California- and Colorado-based competitions champion health technology startups, had memorable conversations with women who helped write and implement state bills to secure health insurance for farmworkers, and even met a school assembly board member who shared her experiences addressing the biggest challenges facing Colorado schools.

The same day, I had the privilege of recording a podcast episode with MyUTI cofounders Lindsey Williams and Megan Henken, where we delved into the causes of urinary tract infections at different points in a woman’s life, de-stigmatizing them, and highlighting the founders' experiences. Stay tuned!

Boulder: Hiking Dakota Ridge with Laurie McGraw

There's something uniquely refreshing about combining the natural beauty of the outdoors with stimulating conversation. The “walk and talk” approach to networking is a breath of fresh air in more ways than one and the group that gathered to hike the Dakota Ridge Trail in Boulder with Laurie McGraw—host of the podcast Inspiring Women—found that it sparked trailblazing discussions and fostered a unique sense of community that transcended the typical conference room setting.

Even better, we captured much of our inspired conversation in a live podcast recording after our hike which will be released on both platforms soon!

The Windy City Chronicles: Women in Medicine Summit and More!

Empowerment and Innovation in Chicago Women in Medicine Summit:

A heartfelt round of applause is in order for Dr. Shikha Jain, whose visionary curation elevated the Women in Medicine Summit into a transformative gathering that left us all empowered and inspired. Each session and speaker contributed distinct, impactful insights that enriched the collective dialogue.
The lineup consisted of topics ranging from community activism, advancing your path to leadership, how to be a better ally, the art of saying no, learning social media as a content creator, intercultural creativity and prismatic leadership, how to know when to quit your job, and so much more!

And here's something to look forward to: We've captured exclusive podcast interviews with several of the Summit's A-list speakers. These conversations are brimming with wisdom, and we can't wait to share these episodes on our platform soon.

Chicago Events Galore:

We wrapped up our tour with two unforgettable events.

First, we were welcomed into the inviting offices of UpFront Healthcare, where a diverse panel of women leaders shared their career journeys and lessons learned. The conversations that were sparked helped connect dots among everyone in the room which made for great networking and left us all uplifted. Thank you to Carrie Kozlowski, Margaret Enright, and team for being such generous hosts.

Then, for the last event on our #RoadtoHLTH, we shifted gears to a soulful evening at TimeOutChicago, orchestrated by Tori Shaw of  Globally Empowered. With Tori leading the charge, we explored the intrinsic diversity that each one of us brings to any endeavor. This was no ordinary discussion; it was a journey into self-discovery, making it an incredibly meaningful experience for those meeting for the first time. Keep an eye on Tori's upcoming workforce development programs—if you're looking for impactful support, she's the one to turn to.

TikTok Magic

Special shoutout to Dana Trampas for helping us take our TikTok game         to new heights. Her talent in digital storytelling has been invaluable.           She has a way of getting people comfortable in front of the camera,so          if you see her at HLTH, don’t be shy.

     What's Next?

This isn't the end; it's just a new beginning. There are so many more         stories to tell, people to meet, and experiences to share. We look forward       to bringing this energy and momentum to HLTH and beyond.

     Until next time,
      Joy
